In fact, Peterson has an inexpensive DVD that can show you how to use their products to set up a variety of stringed instruments (Fender Tele and Strat, Gibson Les Paul, Floyd Rose fitted electrics, as well as acoustics and 5-string basses). The company went on to develop the world’s first transistor organ in 1957, which would be marketed by Gulbransen and help. If you've developed your own tunings, they can be saved via user-programmable banks. It All Began With An Organ: In 1948, Richard Peterson, Founder of The Northern Illinois-based Peterson Company, completed development of the earliest Peterson analog tuner, the Model 150, which was marketed after being developed for Peterson’s own use for tuning organs. There are custom tuning profiles built into the memory, including electric guitar (obviously), bass, acoustic, 12-string, steel guitar, Dobro, and violin. If you are into alternate tunings, the Buzz Feiten system, or drop/capo transposition, the StroboStomp2 can accommodate you. In that respect, the tuner serves as a roadblock for messed up guitars (and there are a lot of them out there). In fact, their instrument might be in tune at the open position, but chances are, tuning goes out as they play higher on the neck. People used to tuning with a cheap/imprecise tuner are often tricked into thinking they are in tune. Guess what? That's good! Any issues we had when using it were not the fault of the unit. Accuracy is to one-tenth of a cent, which is up to thirty times more accurate than inexpensive tuners. Of course, the main reason Peterson made this device was to provide a portable strobe tuner. Head to head with the Horizon made us put the Horizon on eBay. The headroom and fidelity were astounding. Bass recorded with it was clear, detailed, full-ranged, and resistant to overload. All I can say is, "Wow!" The Peterson was like using a high-end preamp and comparing it against entry-level preamps. We threw in the Peterson just for the heck of it. Included in the tests were Mercury Grand Pre, Behringer 12-channel mixer, Horizon Active Bass DI, Ampeg Tube DI, and Peterson StroboStomp2 tuner. So, we set up a blind listening test using various DIs for bass guitar. We were evaluating a new preamp for a separate review, and I wanted to check out the instrument input. One of the main reasons I wanted to write this review is to highlight the strength of the unit's built-in DI, which I discovered accidentally. ![]() Each license can be used for 2 devices with FREE updates for life. The main difference between mp3 and wav is the file size, wav files typically are not compressed and therefore capture the sound closer to the original, however the trade off is a much higher file size, e.g. WAVWAV standard for waveform audio file format, and is an alternative to mp3 files. The files can be compressed, which typically means that to make the file size lower, parts of the audio are removed that are normally our of the human hearing range, but even so some 'audiophiles' prefer other formats that do not compress the files, which are called lossless, these files typically take up much larger space than mp3 files. You're also getting a significantly lower D to go with it, and you're losing 11STR and 22 Attack. Every point of QA/TA/DA that you add lowers that 50% further. Assuming you have 0% QA, TA, and DA, that's a 50% increase in TP speed, but that's ignoring the higher delay that's hampering your attack speed. OA2-4 Khadga has a 1.9~2.0 attacks/round average, we'll go with 2.0 because it's a prettier number. That seriously cuts in to the effectiveness of the weapon's OA2-4, the high delay causing more issues by actually significantly slowing your attack rounds as compared to a Shikargar. While I don't expect every BLU to have the same, the least should be around 8% TA and 23% DA. In my TP set I'm sitting at 3% QA, 11% TA, 29% DA. It barely raises your WS frequency at all, in some cases it even lowers it. That being said, Shikarghar > Khadga, no doubt about it, but it's a fun sword, you should all really try it, it's definitely worth it if you're a dedicated BLU. Third, I'm with a THF and a MNK, and we bi-shot all mobs (DC mobs) with skillchain: CDC + VS, or Exenterator + CDC, or CDC + Amorphic, so the WS frequency for me is much more important as most of our damage relies on skillchain. Second, I'm not Tping in Tocy/Thaums (working on the second) because the 2tick refresh is so important there, and that's another 3 DA & 3 TA gone, leaving not so many multi hits per round. Why? First off, I'm /dnc, so instead having 10DA + 5 TA I only set 7ish DA. Lately I've been doing a LOT of dyna, and I always offhand 2/4, it's the best choice for what I'm doing. I know Proth and Night ran all the possible math you can ever run with it, and I sincerely respect all the feedback they always give, but the Khadga has it's uses. It's so much fun, ws frequency is doubled with it, really. I mostly offhand the Str/atk Shikarghar, yeah. I'm a proud BLU that always wants to sub WAR, eats red curry and hates being stuck in the mage party. No wait, wrong topic, but nonetheless I will get a lot of heat for this (I'm sure, lol).
